About
I’m an artist, a mother, a designer, and a lifelong gardener and plantswoman. I am always making something, growing something, or learning something new.
My art practice includes encaustic painting, woodworking, weaving and other fiber arts, embroidery, clothing upcycling, furniture restoration, writing, and metalsmithing.
Creativity shapes how I work, how I learn, how I care for things, and how I move through the world. I enjoy yoga, bicycling, and befriending roadrunners.
I’m completing a master’s degree in Museum Studies at the University of New Mexico, following two years of graduate study in Landscape Architecture, and I’m also pursuing a graduate certificate in Historic Preservation. I have a BA in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and a certificate in Metalsmithing and Jewelry from the Maryland Institute College of Art. I move easily between art, design, landscape, history, community, material, and place, and am most interested in where and how they overlap.
